Century Travel picked up their third straight win in Group B of the Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Alumni Association Under-23 Basketball Tournament with an 108-60 demolition of Rebels last night at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.

Having established themselves as one of the teams to beat in the competition, Century Travel once again had a distributed offence with six players notching double figures.

Darren Wong and Suen Shew Chuen had matching team-highs of 16 points while Choo Yung Jian and Darren Chai each poured in 15 points.

Phang Seng Fu contributed 14 and Ho Boon Siong scored 10 in the victory.

Mharbin Louis had a game-high of 31 points for Rebels and Liew Kit Siong added 10 points to the losing cause.

Both teams were shorthanded at tip off as Rebels had only six players available while seven suited up for Century Travel.

Both teams were evenly matched in the opening few minutes of the match with neither establishing themselves at the offensive end.  Read More…
