IT IS game over for Brunei's veteran team in the 20th Asean Veteran Basketball Invitational Tournament in Singapore.
The 50 to 60-year-old squad finished in fifth place after a 68-35 defeat to Miri Kingsar last night in the Sept 7-10 competition.
The depleted side only had Soon Chin Long in double figures as he scored 12 points. Ho Poh San and Chu Fook Kwan each chipped in six points in the loss.
The team had kept their hopes alive after thrashing Seremban 55-35 in the morning powered by Lim Meng Ann who shot five three-pointers to finish with 15 points.
They only had less than eight hours of rest before the matchup against Miri and injuries to some key players proved too much for them to handle.
