EVERYTHING is going according to the script.
Easyway/CK Tang are through to the final of the Brunei Under-23 Basketball Tournament 2011 after thrashing Giap's Nephews 104-66 in the semi-finals on Tuesday night at the Kampung Baru basketball court in Seria.
Lim Liang Wei was the team's topscorer with 25 points and Suen Chuen Shew provided a big boost with 21 points.
Three other players hit double figures with Ching Wei Ming pouring in 15 points, Ting Heng Lee chipping in 14 and Han Ming Kwang adding another 10 points in the win, setting up a final date against Seria-based side NVP.
Despite the lopsided victory, the assistant coach of Easyway Wira Pori was not exactly satisfied.
"We started slow on offence and made sloppy passes. It's alarmingly becoming our trademark start to any of our games under the Easyway/CK Tang banner, and that's something the coaching staff have been trying hard to work on," said Wira yesterday.
"I can understand for those who are new to the team's system, but after several games it's inexcusable for these players to not to have the IQ to grasp it. Same goes to the senior members for not familiarising with the new members," he added. Read More…
