ABL: Barracudas beaten in Bangkok
IT WAS a night of utter disappointment for local hoop fans as the Brunei Barracudas failed to impress, falling to the Thailand Slammers 76-59, in their second Asean Basketball League (ABL) game yesterday.
Played at the Nimibutr Indoor Stadium in Bangkok and shown live on television, the game offered many Bruneians their first look at the new Barracudas team who unfortunately could not live up to their fans' expectations.
Americans Christopher Garnett and Chris Commons scored 14 and 16 points respectively for the Barracudas while Slammers' Chris Kuete scored a game high 33 to help his team notch their second consecutive win.
Donned in their familiar blue jerseys, the Barracudas got off to a hot start, courtesy of two straight opening threes by Asean import Chester Tolomia. Read More…
