Defence of crown team's top mission

THE national basketball team are ready to defend their crown at the 14th Borneo City Men's Basketball Invitational Tournament 2012 in Labuan at the end of the month.
National basketball coach Kevin Reece has confirmed his squad for the June 29-July 1 event.
The defending champions have made three changes to their roster for the upcoming tournament and Reece believes that they are stronger than last year.
"Esmond (Tan) and Ben (Sim) play the biggest factor once again. We are better and stronger than last year because we have more guys we can call on," said Reece in an interview with The Brunei Times yesterday.
"This year will be a test of character. It will be the same where no one thinks that we can do it. People think that is it some fluke last year but we are geared up for this once again," he added.
