Wei Shen shines in Dagger triumph

DAGGER B notched their first win in the 2nd Easyway Under-19 Basketball Tournament after a 82-48 victory over AIO in Group B yesterday at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat. Three players notch double figures for Dagger B with Leow Wei Shen leading the way with 19 points. Howard Kuan added 16 points and Aaron Ho chipped in 10 in the victory.
On the other hand, Ku Jun Bin had a matching game-high of 19 points to pace AIO and Lee Kar Hoe contributed 13 points in a losing effort.
Dagger B got out the better team. They were aggressive and attacking the basket to score. They were not settling for any outside shots and were also getting back on defence quickly to prevent any easy points. Good defensive pressure was applied by Dagger B that limited AIO at the offensive end resulting in the former opening up a 16-4 lead going into the second quarter. Read More…
