CHOP Eng Seng Keo (CESK) survived a late rally to triumph 70-64 over Still Got the Bloes (SGTB) in the FAB-LBC Basketball Tournament OFW Open last night at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
Noel Grafil topscored for CESK with 18 points and Efren Espiritu added 11 points in the victory. On the other hand, Vincent Superio had the game-high of 27 points to pace SGTB and Precildo Francisco added 18 points, with 16 of them coming in the first half, to a losing cause.
Using their height advantage, CESK were securing the boards allowing them to get second chance points. They were either scoring on the break or dropping the ball into the paint and muscling their way to the basket to score. SGTB were settling for too many outside shots which saw them trail 31-39 at halftime.
CESK finally broke away and extended their lead margin to as much as 18 points. SGTB were looking lost on offence rushing their shots resulting in empty possessions while CESK were sharing the ball and executing their offence brilliantly. Read More… The Brunei Times
