No double joy: Tan stops Geve Force

ESMOND TAN ensured that there was no double delight for Geve Leones. It was a three-peat for Bukit Ladang after they cruised to an 80-69 victory over a depleted Black Cobra side in the final of the Brunei Open Basketball Championship 2011 last night at the Kampung Baru basketball court in Seria.
Tan scored a game-high of 27 points for Bukit Ladang and Jong Guo Zhang added 17 points. Presley Ho also chipped in 10 points in the victory.
With all their core cagers having played in the final of the FAB-LBC Basketball Tournament OFW Open at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat just two hours before tip off in Seria, Leones led Black Cobra with 16 points. Elvin Requintin contributed 14 points and Vincent Superio had 11 points in a losing effort.
Sensing that their opponents were in no condition to recover so quickly from the earlier game, Bukit Ladang came out playing man-to-man defence allowing them to jump out to an early lead. Read More… The Brunei Times
