Leones, Mordeno ready for s-final battles

ONLY the strong will survive! They started out with seven teams but only four remain standing. Fans mark your calendars because you will not want to miss the matches taking place at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat on Thursday.
The FAB-LBC Basketball Tournament OFW Open heads into the semi-finals and first up will be a matchup between Chop Eng Seng Keo (CESK) and Still Got the Bloes (SGTB) at 8pm.
The second game pits tournament favourites Welflex Engineering against Hua San Hardware at 9.30pm.
In their encounter during the round-robin stage, CESK survived a late rally to triumph 70-64 over SGTB last Friday.
CESK will be banking on Geve Leones to deliver the goods, but he hasn't quite put up big numbers on the scoresheet thus far.
The reason is simple the team are featuring an all-star cast. Efren Espiritu, standing at 6ft 5in, is manning the centre position and teams have found it difficult to score in the paint whenever he is on the floor. Read More… The Brunei Times
