FBA paid a Courtesy Call on Philippine Ambassador Alexander B. Yano

The Filipino Basketball Association (FBA) in Brunei Darussalam led by their president, Mr. Mhar Porlahe paid a courtesy call to the newly appointed envoy from the Republic of the Philippines to the Sultanate, Ambassador Alexander B. Yano.
The Ambassador is the former chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He came from Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, a southern part of the Philippine archipelago. His parents were retired public school teachers. On May 1, 2009, he retired and appointed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as ambassador to Brunei Darussalam. He is soft-spoken but his lessons are loud and clear; He wants unity and cooperation of the Filipino community here. He is also active in sports and he wants to join a basketball pick-up games if there is. The Ambassador and FBA will start an open 45-above yrs. old basketball tournament by the end of this month and he is inviting the community to join or form a team but if you don’t have a team you may reach any FBA official and they will find you one.
