More hoops to come in September

More basketball action is headed your way with the 2010 Brunei Open Boustead Cup Basketball Championship for Men next month.

Organised by the New Village Mutual Aid Association Seria (NVMAS) in cooperation with the Belait District Basketball Association (BDBA), the tournament will be held at the Kampung Baru basketball court in Seria and is slated to start on September 16.

The competition is open to players with a valid Brunei identity card. It is aimed at promoting a healthy sporting lifestyle and also to develop the interest of basketball among the community.

Entry forms can be obtained from Lot 3515, no 9, Spg 94-23, Kg Perpindahan, Kg Baru, Seria.

Completed forms together with registration fee of $300 must be handed in not later than the closing date on September 8 at noon.

The last open tournament held in the district was the 2010 Yong Sok Cup which Plaza Sutera Biru conquered in May.
