Reece: Basketball schedule too taxing

And with the national basketball team taking to the court five times in as
many nights, the national handler has every right to be unhappy with how
things are going.
"We'll be playing five games in five nights. Even in the NBA (National Basketball Association) they don't do that," he quipped after Monday night's 88-63 Sultan's Cup 2010 win over Propel Services.
"The schedulers need to do something about it. Nobody is saying anything so I will!" added the American.
At the helm of the national set-up since last December, the past week has been the most taxing for the 50-year-old and his players.
It all started on Friday with the 12th Borneo City Men Basketball Invitation Tournament 2010, a three-day competition at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) court in Batu Bersurat which they finished third in a field of four teams.
The event saw hosts Brunei face off against Miri, Kota Kinabalu (KK) and Labuan, and though the tournament's relevance is unquestionable, its timing in the midst of the Sultan's Cup was shady. One of the biggest dates on BBA's calender, the 14-team Sultan's Cup started on July 31 and is set to end on Saturday.

Basketball Invitation Tournament before falling 56-51 to Labuan on
Saturday and 67-36 on Sunday.
