Manjaro Cup hots up today Suci head into second round as favourites

SUCI are favoured to win the title in the 4th Manjaro Cup as they currently boast a tried and true line up that has delivered several trophies together.
Despite being home to players such as Geve Leones, Elvin Requintin and Aries Castro, Suci are still short of achieving their ultimate goal of winning the championship as they have only confirmed their spot into the second round following an 81-59 victory over Hua Ho Yayasan in Group A on Tuesday at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
They will have to buckle up to ensure they can land another trophy for the cabinet with the second round starting today.
With only six teams advancing into the second round, a draw was held yesterday and Suci has been grouped with Wan Sing and tournament namesakes Manjaro in Group B.
Wan Sing will be the biggest threat in the group as they are one of three teams - with Dermaline Beauty Therapy (Dermalogica) and Seria Hawks - that have yet to taste defeat in the competition.
Wan Sing are powered by Marjomar Aying and have one of the deepest bench in the tournament.
Danny Felicilda is a threat on the offensive end at all times with his sharpshooting as well. Read More…
