My mum, my superhero

SHE may lack retractable claws, the ability to stop time or even the gift of flight, but mother of four Sansan Hakim is in all essence of the word a superhero as described by 19-year-old Nicholas Wijayakusuma Horas.
The Upper Six Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College student, who is an active member in the local basketball scene, said that it was all due to his mother's encouragement that he still plays the game he loves today.
"I remember playing very badly once during the Brunei inter-school tournament. I got very angry and frustrated and wanted to quit the sport, but my mom kept encouraging me," he said.
"She told me that I will never know how good I can be as a basketball player if I stopped playing."
He added that her continued support had always been a source of comfort during games.
"She always makes it to my games and cheers me on. It is kind of embarrassing because she shouts like crazy but it is great to know that someone is always there for you." Read More…
