Don fires again: Mordeno drives Ford past NBT

IF there was a scoring title then it might as well be handed to Don Mordeno. In another spectacular offensive showing, Mordeno poured in 58 points to lift Ford (Premier Motor Co S/B) to a 79-75 victory over NBT in Group B of the second round of the Inter-Company Basketball Tournament last night.
This followed his 56-point performance in the 74-70 triumph over B-Mobile on Saturday.
Contested at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat, Gary B added 14 points in yesterday's win.
On the other hand, Armando Estoesta topscored for NBT with 24 points and Rodocfo H M chipped in 14 points in a losing effort.
The game saw a see-saw affair in the opening period and Ford got right to their strategy which was to put the ball in Mordeno's hands. He didn't disappoint, getting the high pick and roll running to lead Ford to a 20-16 advantage heading into the second quarter. Read More…
