D'BABES (ABMS S/B) progressed to the semi-finals of the Inter-Company Basketball Tournament after a hard-fought 68-61 win over Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) in last night's Group A action. The result at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat books them a date with Group B winners Istana Maintenance Department (IMD) tomorrow, with the winners advancing to the final.
BSRC, meanwhile, have nothing left to play for.
Last night's victory was largely due to D'Babes' strong second quarter performance, outscoring BSRC 20-8 in the period to take a sizable 20-point lead (43-23) into the break.
With the partisan crowd behind their back, D'Babes shifted gears in the second period and BSRC were unable to handle their fast-paced, run-and-gun style of play. Read More… The Brunei Times
