MC Quipp bare 'Fang' in win over Jati

MC QUIPP got their campaign off to a winning start with a 68-60 victory over Jati Transport in Group D of the Inter-Company Basketball Tournament last night at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat. Fang Bo Yuan poured in a game-high 26 points to lead MC Quipp and Chin Soon Ket added 13 in the victory.
Leonardo topscored for Jati with 20 points and Johnny chipped in 13 in the losing effort.
Jati got out of the gates the better team with MC Quipp failing to put up any resistance on defence.
Fang got off to a good start to score 10 first quarter points for MC Quipp but they trailed 14-18 heading into the second period.
MC Quipp were not sinking any of their open shots including fastbreak layups, allowing Jati to extend their lead to as much as seven points at 24-17 midway through the stanza.
They would suddenly go ice cold from then on, unable to put any shots through the hoop.
MC Quipp, on the other hand, caught fire to spark a 19-0 run to put themselves infront 36-24 at halftime. Read More…
