MAKTAB DULI 'B' cruised to a comfortable 89-75 win over International School Brunei (ISB) in their 2009 Maktab Duli (MD) Cup match yesterday to confirm their berth in the next round.
Though ISB's good passing opened up a 11-6 lead inside the first few minutes of the game at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) court in Batu Bersurat, a series of turnovers saw the MD turn the tides to edge ISB 19-18 half-way through the period.

MD's tight defence also saw them keep their opponents outside the paint and they would enjoy a 40-27 advantage heading into the second period.
ISB started the second half strongly, concentrating on a full-court press that they would keep at until the game's final minutes.

Just like in the first half, ISB still failed to assert themselves under the basket, lacking any big men they could count on for rebounds. Read More...
