Easyway see tough tests ahead as Sultan Cup tips off

ALL eyes will once again be on the national basketball team.
Playing under the banner of Easyway, they will be looking to defend their crown in the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) Basketball tournament held in conjunction with His Majesty's 66th Birthday Celebrations, which tips off today at the BBA court in Batu Bersurat.
They won the crown last year after a last ditched effort by point guard Choo Yung Jian that saw them edge D'Babes/Sharks 71-69 in the final.
It will be back-to-back tests for the national team after they relinquished their crown at the 14th Borneo City Men's Basketball Invitational Tournament in Labuan last weekend.
National basketball coach Kevin Reece will be pleased to have a full squad this time around after missing the services of key player Esmond Tan in Labuan.
He together with Ben Sim will spearhead Easyway. They will be joined once again by Choo, Benjamin Lim and Muhd Zainul Ashyraf Hj Hussin as the starting five of the team. Read More…
