SYSB's determined defence and persistence inside the paint meant they were always a threat despite starting on the wrong end of a 9-1 run, and once Lyod Alburo tied the game at 50-50 with two minutes left in the third and Dagol Cansanay gave them the lead during the next play, it would be 3-On-3 playing catch up.
Alburo led all scorers with 18 points at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) court in Batu Bersurat 12 of them coming in the last quarter. Elwin Requintin provided 17 and Dave Tariao and Apolo Bibat each chipped in with a dozen.
3-On-3 captain Lim Liang Wei had 17 while Han Ming Kwang and Ching Wei Ming had 14 and 10 respectively.
Though they were second best for most of the match, SYSB's player/coach knew his team had it in them to turn the tides.
