Easyway crush Crasher

EASYWAY stamped their class on Crasher with a 129-10 demolition in Group A of the 2nd Under-21 Brunei Youth Basketball Championship (BYBC) at the Kampung Baru Basketball court in Seria last night.

Boasting five national cagers Khoo Chin Kai, Jamri Ramlee, Lim Liang Wei, Hj Md Badri Hj Suhaili and Afif Khalidi the victory is their third straight and the game was already over at halftime with the defending champions leading 54-4.

According to Khoo, who nailed eight triples for a game-high of 32 points, it was their full court pressure that sealed their opponents' fate.

"We treated the match like a training session by applying the full court press which our opponents failed to break. We wanted to increase our efficiency on defence too since the next round will get tougher," said Khoo.

Asked about the next round, the Easyway guard replied: "We're pretty confident at this stage ... hopefully we can retain the title."

In the second match, American International Industries (AII) picked up their third win of thecompetition with an 88-49 victory over Yun Hin in Group A.

The tournament continues today with Prysmian going up against Binaan Janah Jaya in Group B at 7pm. A matchup between Starz Boutique and Awesome, also from Group B, will be on at 8.15pm.
