NBT kept their perfect record intact last night edging the Shark 93-91
in Group A of the BBA Open Challenge Trophy at the Brunei Basketball
Association (BBA) court in Batu Bersurat.
Geve Leones and Majomar
Aying had the bulk of the points for NBT combining for 45 of the team's
points. Leones had 25 points while Aying scored 20. Armando Estoesta
also had a good game contributing 17 points while Paul Ponio chipped in
13 points.
On the other hand, Elvin Requintin had a game-high 35 points while Aries Castro and Apollo Bibat notched up 21 and 20 points
respectively in the loss.
It was a bizarre ending to an entertaining see-saw battle between the two teams. The scoreboard was reading 87-93 in favour of NBT with less than 20 seconds to go but they were complacent and let their guard down gifting Requintin an open three-pointer. Read More…
