that grail is found at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Cup.
UBD achieved that feat by downing Institut Teknologi Brunei (ITB) 80-61 in the final on Wednesday night at the UBD Sports Complex in Tungku Link near here.
National baller Yap Chun Ping was the topscorer of the match with 37 points while Ng Lit How poured in 17 in the triumph.
For ITB, another national player, Choo Yung Jian, had 28 points to lead the team while Anderson Yeo chipped in 26 points in a losing effort.
The defending champions started out slowly as ITB drained threes to open up a double digit lead at 29-15 heading into the second period.
However, foul trouble crept in for the contenders with Choo and George See picking up their fourth fouls before halftime. Read More...
