Cagers look to repeat Borneo success

THE national basketball team have their eyes on the top prize.
The national cagers are aiming for a double at the 14th Borneo City Men's Basketball Invitational Tournament 2012.
The national team made history after capturing the title for the first time last year in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, after winning all three of their matches.
It was a first when they overcame Borneo giants Miri, who have won the title 10 times, 69-54 in their first game before triumphing 76-47 over Labuan.
They completed the championship with a 61-41 thumping of Kota Kinabalu.
This year, to be held from June 29 - July 1 in Labuan, the national squad has yet to be finalised but the Sultanate's top players are preparing themselves for the event.
Kevin Reece, the national basketball coach, knows that the challenge will be to win the trophy back-to-back and believes that they have got what it takes to repeat. Read More…
