Inter-Company Sports Fest kicks off

THE 2nd Inter-Company Sports Fest will officially kick off tonight with the Goldmyne Futsal Tournament at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas. The competition will start at 7:15pm, immediately after the Minister of Home Affairs Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Othman declares the month-long event open.
QAF FC won the futsal title last year, claiming three other trophies to outline their dominance in the local competitive futsal scene in 2011.
Aimed at recognising the overall efforts and contributions of company employees as well as promoting the spirit of community amongst them, the Inter-Company Sports Fest is slated to end on June 3.
A total of six sports 10-pin bowling, badminton, basketball, futsal, hiking and netball will be contested during the meet held in conjunction with Brunei's Labour Day celebration.
The tournament started with the NBT Basketball Tournament last Sunday, where a total of 18 teams have started the march to the final at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
Interested companies can still register for the netball competition as the closing date for entries is only on Tuesday. Read More…
