IT WAS men against boys and in the end Maktab Duli 'A' were simply too much for Chung Ching Middle School (CCMS) of Seria at the UBD Sports Complex in Tungku Link.
Maktab Duli 'A' of Gadong tortured their opponents in the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Cup last night destroying CCMS 101-11 in Group A.
CCMS did not stand a chance from the very beginning making only one basket in the first quarter. They didn't do any better in the other three quarters, too.
Maktab Duli fought hard pressing full court at times and making steals off CCMS' set play.
Maktab Duli also attacked hard led by their point-guard Jong How Kiat.
Staying in the opponents' half was hard enough for CCMS and on rare occasions when they managed to keep the ball in Maktab Duli's half, they faced another opponent, the shot clock.
CCMS conceded the ball on various occasions from both half-court as well as shot clock violations.
The first quarter ended 22-2 and this was to continue as the match progressed.
The second quarter saw another Maktab Duli's dominance on all parts of the court making the outcome predictable. Read More…
