Barracudas hope to regain form against Dragons

THE Brunei Barracudas are hoping to bounce back against the KL Dragons when they meet on Dec 9 at the Brunei Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
The Barracudas, who are languishing at the bottom of the standings with Thailand Tigers at 2-5, absorbed a 73-76 loss to the Dragons the last time they met and coach Bong Ramos wants his boys to avoid another setback.
"We've been practicing since we got back from Bangkok. I know we will be ready for the Dragons," said Ramos in a telephone interview with The Brunei Times yesterday.
The Dec 9 playdate will be the third time that the Barracudas and the Dragons are meeting. Ironically, Brunei won 94-76 in Kuala Lumpur last Oct 14 while the Dragons won last Oct 18 in Brunei.
"Our game against the Dragon is crucial. We want to get that win," said Ramos, who is banking on Reggie Larry to lead the team. The American sprained his left wrist during the game against the Tigers last Nov 14.
"Larry's wrist is okay now, he had enough rest so I can expect him to play well in our next game," said Ramos. Read More…
