Basketball: FOS and FBEPS I have final date

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN -- DEFENDING champions Faculty of Science (FOS) yesterday set up a final date with Faculty of Business, Economics and Policy Studies (FBEPS) I after coming from behind to defeat Institute of Medicine (IM) 56-49 in the semi-finals of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Basketball Club Inter-Faculty Basketball tournament at the UBD Sports Complex in Tungku Link near here.

National cager, Yap Chun Ping, had a game-high 35 points to lead FOS while Bernard Lim and David Choo contributed 10 points.

On the other hand, Tan Jun Seng topscored for IM with 18 points and Sky Lim poured in 10 points to a losing cause.

IM started out the better of the two teams as they were shooting well from the perimeter. They also had the height advantage and used it to control the boards.

FOS were playing a running game as Yap stepped it up a notch to score the final 16 points for his team as they grabbed the lead at 25-24 heading into halftime.

FOS shot well from the field at the beginning of the second half which allowed them to extend their lead to 33-29 after five minutes into the period. Read More…
