The Barracudas: New Import to Break Losing Streak
After coming off from a disappointing 97-62 loss to Satria Muda Britama on Sunday in Jakarta. The Barracudas management had decided to bring in a real fire power to the team in Reggie Larry. This 6'6" small forward from the Boise State Broncos will be the replacement of the 6'11" center Lonnie Jones.
The team wanted to put the two consecutive home loss behind them and focus on tomorrows game against the visiting Thailand Tigers. The Tigers proved that they were up to the challenge after knocking down the visiting KL Dragons at the Nimibutr National Stadium for their first win, 88-71. Both teams aims for their second win.
Who is Reggie Larry?
With the addition of Reggie Larry to the reef, We'll expect more up-tempo style (running game) when Mike Pilgrim will be assigned to take the center position from his previous power forward spot. Larry will be sharing spot with Don Camaso if he plays small forward.
In his senior year as a Bronco, Reggie averaged 19ppg and led his team in rebounds with 9.2 boards a game. He shared the team’s “Hard Hat Award” with Matt Nelson, which goes to the team’s best rebounder. He also played for Ael Limasol, a team that has won the Cyprus League Championships and Cyrus Cup three of the past four seasons. Cyrus is also part of the Euro League.
