BERNARD LIM split his free throws with one second left in the game to lift Faculty of Science (FOS) to their second consecutive title with a 41-40 victory over Faculty of Business, Economics and Policy Studies (FBEPS) I in the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Basketball Club Inter-Faculty tournament yesterday at the UBD Sports Complex in Tungku Link.

Ng Lit How had tied the game at 40 apiece with two seconds left in the game but Bernard had received the inbounds pass before being fouled by his defender.

"I shot the ball like I normally do. I expected the first attempt to go in. I didnt think too much but I missed the second," said Bernard after the victory.

Yap Chun Ping led all scorers with 15 points and Bernard poured in 11 points. On the other hand, Ng topscored for FBEPS I with 11 points and playing coach, Lim Kok Shien contributed 10 points to a losing cause.
FOS started out with their usual game plan as they were scoring on fastbreaks led by national cager, Yap, as FBEPS I had difficulty keeping up with their pace. In addition, FOS came out playing defense not allowing their opponents to execute on offence as they took a 9-3 lead midway through the first half. Read More…
