Barracudas, Dragons fighting for 4th spot

Both teams are fighting for the coveted fourth position in the Asean Basketball League, the final spot in the six-team league which will guarantee them a berth in the playoffs.
Currently in fifth, the Barracudas have three games to prove they are worthy of a place in the playoffs which start on Jan 30.
They have their work cut out for them though since all their matches are against the top three teams.
Losing 98-84 to third-placed Satria Muda BritAma last Sunday, the Barracudas will be looking for their first win against the Indonesians when they face them for the third time at the National Indoor Stadium at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas on Saturday.
Their next game will be against the second-placed Singapore Slingers next Wednesday in what could be their last home game of the season. The Slingers have won both previous encounters.
Four days later, they take to the Ynares Sports Arena in Manila to face table toppers Philippine Patriots in their last regular season game, taking some heart in the fact that they have already beaten them once this season.
The odds are against Bong Ramos' men since they have won only one match - against the Patriots - out of the six lineups against the top three, and know they will have to win at least two matches if they are to overtake the Dragons. Read More...
