Bong Ramos, the Barracudas head coach, believes that the team are ready to slay their opponents in their own backyard.
The Barracudas have won their last three home games (against the Thailand Tigers, KL Dragons and Philippine Patriots) and are hoping to make it four in a row to help secure the last playoff berth come the end of January.
"The team are ready and we have been practising daily. We are confident that we can make it four games in a row at home, but anything can still happen," said Ramos when met at a training session yesterday.
"We lost the last time out (in Jakarta) because we were not fully prepared as we were not used to their court. It was hard to play away and adjust to their home court. But this time we will entertain them at home," added the 48-year-old Filipino mentor.
"We'll just give it our best shot and hopefully the players will be able to step up in the game. Supporters will definitely be a factor and we're hoping the fans will come to support us," said Ramos.
Having met twice already, Brunei's first professional basketball team fell to their worst defeat of the season with a 97-62 thrashing at the BritAma Arena in Jakarta on Nov 8 but fared better in the second outing losing 98-84 at the same arena last Sunday. Read More...
