Their mission: Stay alive

That's how the Barracudas hope to spend their new year in Thailand playing their way to victory in the Tigers' den.
The Barracudas, who meet the Thailand Tigers in their Asean Basketball League (ABL) match at the Nimibutr Indoor Stadium in Bangkok tomorrow, must win the tie to stay alive in the playoff run.
"We need the win. I know we'll have a good shot at it. We're going into the game high on confidence and ready for the challenge," said Mike Pilgrim, one of the American imports of the Barracudas, in an interview with The Brunei Times.
"We may be short-handed in terms of bench, but we're definitely ready. The practice sessions have been great after a week off," added Pilgrim.
"In addition, the local players on the team have been playing great and we know what we have to do in the match," continued the Barracudas' centre.
This is the third time the two sides meet with the series split between them.
The first encounter saw the Barracudas grab a late 91-86 victory at home on Nov 14.
The Tigers avenged the defeat on Nov 22 overturning a 13-point deficit late in the third quarter to win 77-66 in Bangkok. Read More...
