THE Barracudas couldn't have ask for a better start to the new year as they hold the advantage in their run for the playoffs which starts on Jan 30 in the Asean Basketball League (ABL).
"It is an advantage for us now after winning our last game while they lost. Their remaining games (against the Patriots and Slingers) will be against strong teams to beat," said Francis 'Kiko' Adriano, the captain of the Barracudas, in an interview with The Brunei Times yesterday.
"Right now the morale of the team is on a high and we're looking forward to our next match against Satria Muda," added Adriano.
"We will continue to focus on our game one at a time.
"Our goal is to get into the last four and hopefully with the support and prayers from all of the people who believe in us, we will be able to achieve that goal," continued the 34-year-old Filipino.
The captain had a sensational game against the Tigers when he put in a season-high 30 points and hauled down 10 boards for a double-double in the triumph.
"It was a tough game for us but we played aggressively right from the start and we never gave up till the end of the game. We committed some turnovers and they were able to catch up on us," said Adriano. Read More...
