Barracudas want revenge

The Barracudas kept themselves on track for a playoff berth with a 94-89 triumph over the Thailand Tigers and in doing so knocking the Thais out of playoff contention last Monday at the Nimibutr National Stadium in Bangkok.
Satria Muda are also in a triumphant mood coming off a 69-57 victory over the KL Dragons at the Maba Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
"It's going to be a tough game especially if they play at the same intensity against the Dragons earlier in the week," said Francis 'Kiko' Adriano, the captain of the Barracudas, in an interview with The Brunei Times yesterday.
"If we can match their intensity and aggressiveness and stay out of foul trouble, I think that we have a good chance of snatching a victory," added Adriano.
The captain named the dynamic duo of American imports, Alex Hartman, who is third in the league in scoring averaging 19.8 points per game, and Nakiea Miller, who leads the league in rebounds with 14.3 per game, as the main threats in today's match.
"The key for us is to limit their imports to below their average. I think we're in good shape to put up some defensive stops," said the 34-year-old Filipino.
"As I've said before, right now the morale of the team is high and it's important for us to maintain it because we need to win and be part of the final four at the end of the season," added Adriano. Read More...
