THE Barracudas are confident of five straight wins at home when they host the visiting Singapore Slingers tonight at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
A victory for the Barracudas guarantees a top-four finish in the six-team ABL regardless of whether the KL Dragons win their last match against Satria Muda BritAma at the BritAma Arena on Saturday.
Only the top four teams will make it into the postseason with the regular season coming to an end on Sunday.
"This is the same senario as our previous game. It's another must-win match that confirms passage into the next round. We're confident that we can make it five in a row at home. The team is ready and highly motivated for the match," said Ramos in an interview with The Brunei Times yesterday.
"We really need this game and are hoping for more fans to come and support us. A good turnout is very important as the more fans we have the bigger our advantage is at home," said the ex-Indonesia coach.
The Barracudas have won their last four games at home with Satria Muda BritAma being their latest victims with an 85-81 victory last Saturday.
The Slingers are coming off a 71-78 loss to the KL Dragons, which threw them back into contention, at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur last Sunday. Read More...
