Barracudas waiting for Young Knights to slay Dragons

KL Dragons need to win the match at the BritAma Arena in Jakarta to claim the final playoff spot.
They are currently level on 20 points with the Brunei Barracudas, with identical 8-6 win-loss records.
The Barracudas, Brunei's first professional basketball team, will automatically move into the playoffs should the Dragons lose, thanks to a better head-to-head record (2-1).
If the KL Dragons win tomorrow, the Barracudas will face an uphill task of qualifying for the playoffs, facing table-topper Philippines Patriots at the Ynares Sports Arena in Manila tomorrow at 4pm.
The Bruneians caused an upset last December, exploiting their home ground advantage to the fullest, by beating the Patriots 74-69 at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas to hand the Indonesians their second defeat of the season.
However, they will be marching into Manila without their star player, American import Mike Pilgrim, who scored a game-high 20 points in that match. Read More...
