PALM CAFE hope to kick off their campaign with a victory in the regular seven stars category of the LBC Cup when they take it to the basketball court against Pinoy 1st Edition in Group A at 10pm tomorrow at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
The team are made up of the Linktech side, who grabbed runners-up spot in the 2009 Brunei Pepsi Cup in August, and the Palm Cafe squad that won the 3rd Manjaro Cup earlier this month.

Lito Porlahe, the playing coach of Palm Cafe, feels that they will have a hard time in their opening game as the team haven't had much time for practice.
"We will probably get one session before our game," said Porlahe during an interview with The Brunei Times yesterday. "Most of my players have a lot of stars ... like (Geve) Leones with three and (Elvin) Requintin with two. Only four players in the team are without stars. It will be difficult to rotate the players without any proper training."
Asked about their opponents, Porlahe said: "Our opponents are a strong team as they have big players like (Joel) Valdez and (Sherwin) Antonio who can control the post. We will have to play a running game." Read More…
