BROTHERHOOD is fellowship a fraternity or union united for a common purpose that comes with being members of a profession. We as coaches are also united by our career and we share information because this is what we do.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending an Asean Basketball League (ABL) game. The Singapore Slingers were in town to take on a local club side.
I was there to support the Singapore side and catch up with Slingers head coach Neo Beng Siang.
Neo and I have a great deal of history and both are considered pioneers of Singapore basketball. Our relationship goes back to the early 90s, to be exact 1991.
Neo was a gifted point guard who could play the game in its purest fashion. It didn't matter if he was small in stature, because his heart made up for his size.
Back in the 90s we had some classic head to head battles and, I could say this in all truth, I looked forward to seeing him play as well as playing against him. Read More…
