Drama as Dragons down Barracudas in OT

THE Brunei Barracudas were handed a 95-87 defeat at the hands of the KL Dragons at the MABA Stadium yesterday.
A win was all but guaranteed when the Barracudas led 79-76 in the dying seconds, only for the home team to be awarded three free throws for a personal foul on Patrick Cabahug in the dying seconds of the match. He successfully converted from the charity stripe to level the points and push the match into overtime.
It was just the wake up call the Dragons needed. The Malaysians picked up their game during overtime to condemn Brunei's first professional basketball team to their eighth defeat of the season.
Christopher Garnett scored a game-high 30 points and totalled 17 rebounds to notch a double-double.
He was not the only player on the Barracuda's roster with a double-double, teammate Chris Commons also firing in 29 points and 11 rebounds. Read More…
