SOON LEE/ Easyway B flipped the script after they defeated an experienced Strong Eagles team 75-62 last night in the semi-finals of the Open Category of the Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Alumni Association 18th Anniversary Basketball tournament at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
They next face Soon Lee/Easyway A, who cruised to an 83-65 victory over L & H Motors in the other semi-final, in the final on Saturday.
Four players hit double figures for Soon Lee/ Easyway B, who are made up of several national cagers, with Lim Liang Wei topscoring for the team with 21 points and Choo Yung Jian adding 16.
Soon Kian Leong poured in 12 points and Ting Heng Lee added 11 in the win.
On the other hand, Presley Ho had a game-high of 22 points to lead Strong Eagles and Goh Boon Tiong contributed 17 in a losing effort.
Strong Eagles came out the better team playing 2-3 zone defence to pick up steals to score in transition and from long range. Read More…
