STRONG Eagles stretched their unbeaten streak to five games with an easy 92-83 victory over an undermanned Hankook Komala last night in the second round of the Open Category for the Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Alumni Association 18th Anniversary Basketball tournament.
The result puts Strong Eagles top of Group A heading into the semi-finals knocking Hankook Komala out of the competition. They will now await the winners of the matchup between Autoexperts.com.bn and Soon Lee/Easyway B today in Group A at 8.30pm.
"Our stamina is alright but we'll have to continue working on our teamwork as tonight (Monday night) we didn't get to execute the way we want especially that our opponents were without a full lineup," said Lim Fung, the captain of Strong Eagles, in an interview with The Brunei Times, after the win.
"It would be totally different if they had a full team but the team's confidence is at a high level at this point," he added. Read More…
