Easyway made to work hard

SOON LEE/ Easyway held on for a 100-92 victory over Haska last night in the semi-finals of the Under-18 category of the Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Alumni Association 18th Anniversary Basketball tournament at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
They next face CHMS Bandar, who easily defeated SPE 72-50 in the other semi-final, in the final tomorrow.
Four players hit double figures for Soon Lee/ Easyway, who are made of cagers from the national scheme, with Loo Zhi Hung pouring in a game-high of 32 points and Foo Gwen Tong scoring 18.
Thian Bii Soon contributed 16 points and Lim Yee Chen chipped in 11 points in the victory.
On the other hand, the points were distributed well among the Haska players with Willie Jong leading the way with 21 points and Leong Ming Seng chipping in 20.
Nicholas Wijayakusuma Horas poured in 18 points and Hawaii Yee added 15 to a losing cause. Read More…
