Soon Lee/ Easyway B set up semi-final date with Strong Eagles
SOON LEE/ Easyway B propelled themselves into the semi-finals with a 79-66 victory over Autoexperts.com.bn last night in the Open Category of the Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Alumni Association 18th Anniversary Basketball tournament at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
The Group B win means that they will next face winners of Group A, Strong Eagles, in the final four at 7pm today.
"We'll be facing a very experienced team and we will have to make sure that we can get our man-to-man defence right to deny them the ball.
"We'll also have to talk more and communicate when on the floor," said Maxim Yap, the coach of Soon Lee/ Easyway B, in an interview with The Brunei Times, after the triumph.
All five starters notched double figures on offence for Soon Lee/Easyway B, who are made up of several national cagers, with Lim Liang Wei scoring a game-high of 18 points. Read More…
