WISDOM Jade Daycare Wildcats defeated Oragon 89-72 in their semi-finals match up of the Manjaro Basketball Tournament 2012 last Thursday to set up a championship showdown with Muara United at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat today. The backcourt duo of Geve Leones and Nel Acobar proved to be too much of a task for their opponents, scoring 19 points and 17 points respectively to power the Wildcats to the win.
The first quarter saw the Wildcats jump out to a quick start scoring 24 points.
Oragon were not far behind, recording a respectable 18 points themselves in the stanza.
The aggressive Leones was a constant threat throughout the second quarter as he helped his team score 27 points in the quarter to lead 51-35 going into the second half.
But everytime the Wildcats opened up a lead, Oragon would respond.
The game became a seesaw affair with the two teams furiously exchanging baskets throughout the third and final quarter. Read More…
