A Flex-Link turonver on the next play saw Lim Liang Wei build the lead to 77-72 but Shim Jan Ting set the scores at 77-74 straight after.
Though a lay-up from Rosli Ahad helped Flex-Link pull back to 77-76 in the last 45 seconds, Boon Siong's second trey in less than a minute put the national Under-23 team up 80-76 with 20 seconds to go in what was turning out to be a highly entertaining Group B match-up.
Rosli was forced to foul Han Ming Kwong on the next possession and the latter hit both his free-throws to make it a two-possession game at 82-76.
Flex-Link's Justin Yong missed lay-up meant the game was all over, and though Ming Kwong only made one of his two free-throws after Cheah Yong Sin fouled him with two seconds on the clock, the game was done and dusted. Read More…
