remaining to lift the GILR Wildcats to a 72-71 victory over Al-Ssarah Eagles last night in Group B of the 2nd Queenielin's Cup at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.

"I can't describe what I feel but I just feel really happy that I hit them to help my teamwin the match," said Pascua after the triumph.

"I was feeling a lot of pressure but when the ball left my hands, I just felt them going in," added Pascua, who had a game-high of 22 points.

Jerald Ybanez contributed 14 points for the GILR Wildcats while Rey Katipunan chipped in 10 points.

On the other hand, Allan Talanay led the Eagles with 11 points while Michael Capinlac finished with 10 points.

The Eagles were in control in the first half taking a 42-32 lead at
halftime.

However, the Wildcats stepped it up a notch at both the offensive and defensive ends to cut the deficit to 55-47 heading into the final stanza.

The Wildcats were not boxing out and allowing their opponents to grab the offensive boards for second chance opportunities. However, they kept themselves in the match with their fastbreaks as the Eagles were running low on gas and failed to get back on defence. Read More...
