More 'Blues' for Primeland

At least it was enough to help them clinch a convincing 70-51 victory over the winless Primeland Estate Agency in Group A of the 2010 Yong Sok Cup at the Kampung Baru basketball court in Seria last night.

The win makes it three out of three for the BBA Open Challenge Trophy champions and it puts them top of their group heading into the semi-finals.

Only five players with two regular starters laced up for the game and they
stepped it up a notch to get the job done.

Yeo Chun Kiat had the game-high of 26 points for the tournament favourites while Wong Xiu Jie contributed 17 points. Lim Aik Hock and Leslie Chia chipped in 15 and 11 points respectively in the victory.

On the other hand, for his third straight game Mharbin topscored for Primeland Estate Agency recording 13 points last night. But it was not enough to keep his team from falling yet again.

"We played a slow game that worked to perfection. We tried to make every possession count and stay out of foul trouble. But I think it was our experience that was key in this match," said Lim, the point guard of Plaza Sutera Biru, in an interview with The Brunei Times, after the triumph. Read More...
