Lian Fu survive Dagger's onslaught

LIAN Fu Restaurant topped Group A after holding on to a 69-61 victory over Dagger of the 2nd Easyway Under-19 Basketball Tournament yesterday at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat. In a battle for supremacy in the group, Jong How Kiat led the way for Lian Fu with 23 points, with 13 of them coming in the last quarter.
Teammate Foo Gwen Tong added 15 in the triumph.
Loo Zhi Hung had a game-high of 25 points including six from behind the arc to pace Dagger.
Andy Sim contributed 16 points in the loss.
Lian Fu carried a 28-23 advantage into halftime and got right in attack mode after the break.
They were penetrating strongly to the basket to score and opened up a 42-33 lead midway through the third quarter. Read More…
