D CAFÉ PREVAILS OVER PIONEERS: 1st Kiarong Cup 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Cut throat match between De Café and the Pioneers lead to an easy victory for the De Café. Having an equal team standing of 5 wins and 3 losses, a deciding game between the two was needed to know who will face the topnotch Turistas with an astounding team standing of 7 wins and 1 loss.

With De Café leading by 5 points in the first half, they secured their lead up to the last remaining time of the last half finishing 78-67 margin. Rj Buenaventura dominates the game with 24 rebs and 23pts. A remarkable performance was shown by Mahlon Campos helping his team with 9pts and 12 assists. Adding to the board for the D Café are Alex Barawed with 14pts and alternate player Mike with 19pts.

Though Pioneers lost, Exequiel Lachica gave his team his unrelenting effort outpouring his team with 29pts throughout the game. As they came up short, and the dying seconds ended, they accepted their defeat graciously.

D Café and Turistas are on the both sides of the triangle with one step away to the top of the tournament. Who will take the first trophy of the Kiarong 3-on3 Basketball tournament? Turistas playing with only 4 players competing with the absolute line-up of the D Café, “ We can still win this championship, because we still have the complete package. We have our great rebounder and power player Henry Sta. Isabel and scoring machine Axel, and me of course leading the team”, Joel Frontuna expressed. Best of three games will apply to this much anticipated event.
